Hi, this is David Bach. A recent survey reveals that many homeowners don't really know exactly what's covered under their homeowner's insurance. Do you? Sixty eight percent wrongly assumed that if their car was damaged on their property, the loss would be covered through their policy. Fifty-one percent thought that their policy would cover damage from a main water line break and 31 percent assumed damage as a result of termites would be covered. My tip today: Don't make assumptions on your insurance policy. Avoid costly mistakes by knowing what's covered and what's not. Then inquire about buying supplementary coverage where necessary.
