A recent FTC survey confirms that because mortgage agreements have become so complex, key mortgage costs (including restrictions like prepayment penalties) oftentimes are not communicated clearly enough for the average borrower.? My tip today: protect yourself by questioning any items that you don't understand before you go to closing.?
