In fact, over the last nine months, 120 mortgage lenders have closed their doors. My tip today: If you're buying a home, check out your lender’s financial standing first. Select a stable company that has operated prudently under federal regulation. Enlist your Realtors' help to identify lenders that can weather this environment. Eventually the mortgage and real estate industry will find an even keel, but for now, be a careful, educated buyer. I’m David Bach.
