Wells Fargo Home Mortgage Joins with David Bach to Promote Shared Vision of the Lifelong Benefits of Homeownership to Millions of Americans

Best-Selling Author, Leading Retail Lender to Encourage People to Build Long-Term Financial Success through Homeownership


DES MOINES, Iowa - Oct. 28, 2005 - Wells Fargo Home Mortgage today announced a three-year agreement with financial coach David Bach, author of several best-selling books including No. 1 New York Times best-seller The Automatic Millionaire. The partnership is designed to increase the number of first-time, second-home and investment homebuyers and help homeowners best manage the equity in their home as an asset to achieve their long-term financial goals.

The relationship will unfold through a series of activities including Wells Fargo Home Mortgage's role as the founding sponsor of the introduction of Bach's upcoming book The Automatic Millionaire Homeowner. This will include free educational consumer events in 15 major cities in 2006 where Bach will speak on subjects related to homeownership, including managing personal finances in a dynamic real estate market, opportunities for owning additional properties, working with a Realtor®, and obtaining the most appropriate financing.

Other activities will include personal appearances by Bach at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage events, online communications, and outreach to the many partners who share the goal of helping more people become homeowners.
